Me, Mum & Dad, 1982

My mum was born on 2nd February 1958 in Moulvibazar, Bangladesh. She later moved to Chittagong where my grandfather used to work for Unilever as Marketing Manager. She spent all her life in Chittagong until she got married to my dad on 3rd februrary, 1978. My mum moved to UK shortly after she got married to my dad and lived in Manchester for 3 and half years.

My mum did her BA from Chittagong University, Bangladesh. She takes keen interest in writing poetry. Her works include a number of poems published in famous women's magazine 'Begum', poems published in 'Daily Azadi' and 'Daily Purbokone'. My mum also wrote couple of hundreds of song lyrics which are still being composed for the national TV channel 'Bangladesh Television'.
